About
My name is Sunny Sik
Welcome to The Bomber’s Batch! I’m a pastry chef, a proud Le Cordon Bleu graduate, and a licensed A&P IA. My aviation journey began in 1999, and after returning home from Iraq, I felt called to pursue my passion for food by attending culinary school in 2013. Throughout that chapter, I had the privilege of working alongside incredible chefs and participating in major culinary events, including No Kid Hungry.
Eventually, aviation drew me back to my hometown of Spokane, WA, where I accepted a maintenance position with an aerial firefighting company. Returning home also brought an unexpected blessing—I met my husband, who soon after joined the same aerial firefighting team.
Our path later led us to Redmond, OR, where I continued my career as an airworthiness inspector. The role required long hours and constant travel, and although I loved the work, I ultimately chose to step away from the fire life to create a healthier balance for my family.
Inspired by the remarkable history of bombers, I now bring together my two greatest passions—aviation and pastry. Every creation is crafted with the same precision, care, and integrity expected from an aviation professional.
